Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y24-1072-JA, Supply Delivery of Sod for Public Works, to the sole responsive and responsible bidder, JHL Landscape Supply, LLC d/b/a The Sod Depot, in the estimated contract award amount of $3,987,500 for a five-year term. ([Public Works Department Roads and Drainage Division] Procurement Division)

PROCUREMENT:
This contract will provide pallets of sod to be delivered throughout the County as needed.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1002-072-2906-4160.
APPROVALS:
The Roads and Drainage Division and Business Development Division concur with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
One bid was received in response to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) and was evaluated for price, responsiveness, and responsibility. JHL Landscape Supply, LLC d/b/a The Sod Depot has a satisfactory record of performance and is considered responsible. Price reasonableness has been established based on comparison to the engineers estimate. Therefore, award is recommended to JHL Landscape Supply, LLC d/b/a The Sod Depot.
To ensure an open and competitive bid process, the IFB was posted on the County's e-procurement platform. A query to potential bidders that declined to compete on this IFB resulted in the following:
