Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y26-717-JF, Corrections Female Detention Center Building Automation System Replacement and Fire Alarm Upgrade, to the lowest and responsible bidder, Poli Construction, Inc., in the total contract award amount of $6,471,815. PROCUREMENT:
Work under this contract includes construction services to replace the building automation system and partial replacement/upgrades to the fire alarm system at the female detention center. This project is located in District 6.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1023-043-2049-3810.
APPROVALS:
The Capital Projects Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Two bids were received in response to the Invitation for Bids and evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness. The bid submitted by Poli Construction, Inc. is considered reasonable based on the engineer’s estimate. References provided were satisfactory for this type of work and Poli Construction, Inc. has been determined to be responsible. Therefore, award is recommended to Poli Construction, Inc.
