ACTION REQUESTED:

Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y25-147-AV, Yard Trash Grinding and Hauling, to the low responsive and responsible bidder, MW Collins Inc., in the estimated contract award amount of $12,900,000 for a five-year term.
In the event the bidder recommended above fails to achieve timely compliance with pre-award deliverables, as defined in the Invitation for Bids, including, but not limited to, M/WBE participation sub-contract agreements, State Division of Corporations registration, E-verify, insurance and bonds, further request Board authorization for the Procurement Division to award to the next low responsive and responsible bidder as listed in the bid tabulation herein, to the extent practicable and advantageous to the County. PROCUREMENT:
This contract will provide yard trash grinding and hauling services for the Solid Waste Management Division.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 4410-038-1035-3197.
APPROVALS:
The Solid Waste Management Division and Business Development Division concur with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
This contract will provide services to grind yard waste received at the Orange County Landfill into mulch and transport mulch to various locations on the landfill property. The mulch is beneficially used as part of landfill daily and intermediate cover, as side slope stabilization and erosion control, or for other purposes as needed.
