PROCUREMENT:
This contract will provide submersible pumps, parts, and repairs for Orange County wastewater pumping stations.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account numbers 4420-038-1347-3810 and 4420-038-1347-3820.
APPROVALS:
The Field Services Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
KSB pumps are utilized in Orange County wastewater pumping stations. This contract ensures timely access to KSB pumps, parts, and repair services. Barney’s Pumps, Inc. has been verified as the sole authorized dealer of municipal KSB equipment and repairs in Orange County.
Price reasonableness has been established by comparing this contract to two other sole source term contracts for wastewater pumps: Y22-103 for Flygt pumps and Y21-170 for ABS pumps, both of which provide parts at a 10% discount off the list price. Under this contract, parts are offered at a 15% discount off the list price.
