body

PROCUREMENT:
This purchase order provides Deployment of Maxtime Adaptive Signal Control Systems at Universal Epic area, for 10 signals currently under construction.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1246-072-2742-6320
APPROVALS:
The Public Works Department concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Maxtime adaptive software module is the only software compatible with the existing Q-free signal controllers along Universal Blvd. System configuration, deployment, training, and maintenance agreement are required for the same software.
The adaptive signal control technology leverages the existing Advanced Traffic Controller's processing power/memory thereby eliminating the need for extra hardware or a central system.
Maxtime adaptive automatically adjust traffic signal timing in response to demand in order to optimize the traveler experience and improve road and travel safety. Maxtime adaptive also delivers corridor-based optimizations with the ability to handle cross streets.
This system constantly adapts signal timing to variable traffic conditions based on input from detectors installed at the intersections. The system is needed to always maintain acceptable traffic signal operation with minimal intervention from staff. The system also synchronizes all signals along the area corridors to maintain traffic flow, resulting in lower stops, delay...
