PROCUREMENT:
This contract will engage a provider to supply breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks for 10 Head Start locations in Orange County.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account numbers 7405-062-7524-4135 and 7005-062-7522-4135. Funding for this program is reimbursed by the State of Florida.
APPROVALS:
The Head Start Division concurs with the recommendation.
REMARKS:
Three bids were received from the State of Florida approved caterers in response to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) and were evaluated for price, responsiveness, and responsibility.
In accordance with the State of Florida Bureau of Child Care Food Programs' written directives, award is recommended to the low responsive and responsible bidder Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, Inc. Dba Plates of Plenty. Ashakai's Applied Behavioral Services, LLC and World Plate Caterer LLC were deemed non-responsive for failing to meet the reference requirements prescribed in the IFB.
