Ratification of Change Order No. 1, Purchase Order M118160, Reams Road between Greenbank Blvd and Peachtree Park Court Project, with DRMP, Inc, in the total amount of $208,112.37, for a revised total contract amount of $373,042.12. Work under this change order includes an additional 300 cubic yards of grout, supervision, testing, and an off-duty law enforcement officer for traffic control. This also accounts for the urgency of mobilizing a qualified contractor, site complexity, and the potential for unknown conditions. The initial emergency purchase order authorized 310 cubic yards of grout, which was utilized over approximately two weeks. Monitoring data from installed casings indicates that the sinkhole is only about half full, and additional grout is needed to complete the filling process.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1002-072-2906-3816.
APPROVALS:
The Public Works Engineering Division concurs with this recommendation.
