The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Please contact our office if you need an accessible version of documents on this page, and one will be provided.

PURPOSE: The Arts and Cultural Affairs Advisory Council (“Advisory Council”) and Blockbuster and Special Events Committee carefully reviewed and examined numerous issues and established the criteria that meets the Advisory Council's goal of elevating Central Florida's arts and culture to a status befitting a world-class community. The mission of the Blockbuster and Special Events program is to encourage marquee art and cultural blockbuster events in Orange County. The proposed event must result in attendance of 50,000+, must include significant collaboration with the local arts community, be financially feasible, and be proposed by a nonprofit arts and cultural organization with a demonstrated background of successfully handling significant events. One applicant has been unanimously recommended for funding by the Blockbuster and Special Events Committee and the Arts and Cultural Affairs Advisory Council for the  proposed project “Eatonville Rising,” a multi-year support Cultural Heritage Tourism project by Association to Preserve the Eatonville Community (PEC).
