Selection of Broussard, Cullen & Eldridge, P.A, Dean, Ringers, Morgan & Lawton, P.A., and Walker, Revels, Greninger, PLLC to provide Workers Compensation Legal Counsel, Request for Proposals Y25-1017-KK.
Further request authorization for the Procurement Division to negotiate and execute three five-year term contracts with the selected firms. ([Administration and Fiscal Services Department Risk Management Division] Procurement Division)

PROCUREMENT:
These contracts will provide legal counsel and attorney services defending litigated workers compensation claims and other matters pertaining to the County's Risk Management Program. Payments are processed through the third party administrator as part of the claims handling process.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 5510-025-0301-0328-2140. Funding is available through the Risk Management loss fund.
DISCUSSION:
Orange County, the Tax Collector, Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections, Clerk of Circuit Court, Orange Blossom Trail Development Board, and Comptroller are all parties to the Interlocal Risk Management and Self-Insurance Agreement, which sets forth the self-insurance program for the Board of County Commissioners and the constitutional officers identified above. The implementation and administration of the agreement through the Board, constitutional officers, the County's Risk Management Committee, and the Risk Manager or designee is hereafter referred to as the "Program."
