Approval and execution of (1) Resolution 2026-M-12 of the Orange County Board of County Commissioners regarding the Local Agency Program Agreement with the State of Florida Department of Transportation concerning Shingle Creek Trail Phase 4 (From Alhambra Drive to Old Winter Garden Road) Project (FPN Number 452289-1-38-01) and (2) State of Florida Department of Transportation Local Agency Program Agreement FPN: 452289-1-38-01 in the amount of $80,701.60. PROJECT: N/A
PURPOSE: The Public Works Department has awarded design services for a multi-use trail that will connect the future Shingle Creek Connector Trail (by the City of Orlando) at the corner of N. Kirkman Road (State Road 435) and Old Winter Garden Road to the existing Pine Hills Trail on Alhambra Drive. The trail also connects to Orlo Vista Park. The total length of the trail is approximately 1.7 miles. This project is funded in accordance with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Local Agency Program. FDOT and MetroPlan Orlando have agreed to fund $2,173,267 in FDOT’s Fiscal Year 2025/2026. The Orange County cost share is $80,701.60 for the current design. This cost is for post-design services and is not reimbursable by FDOT.
The County Attorney’s Office, Risk Management Division, Public Works Engineering Division, Parks and Recreations Division, and Transportation Planning Division have reviewed this Resolution and Supplemental Agreement and find them acceptable.
