The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Please contact our office if you need an accessible version of documents on this page, and one will be provided.

PROCUREMENT:
This purchase order procures rebuild of an off-road Mack GU813 Truck, consisting of reconditioning the engine, transmission, axle, wiring harness, torque converter, radiator, 5th wheel hardware, dropbox, air drier, brakes catwalk grating and emissions module.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 4410-038-1025-3820.

REMARKS:
The Solid Waste Division uses six-wheel drive off-road tractors (also called "yard dogs") to haul loaded transfer trailers to the landfill workface. The Solid Waste Division has six units. In an effort to economically maintain the yard dog fleet, the Solid Waste Division is pursuing rebuilding a yard dog rather than procuring a new unit. Rebuilding the unit can be done faster and at less cost than acquiring a new unit, with an approximate cost of $292,855. The Mack GU813 yard dog 6X6 truck is a highly customized unit designed specifically to perform tasks at the landfill. Staff has confirmed that Nextran Corporation is the only authorized dealer for Mack in Florida offering complete equipment rebuilds on this equipment.
