The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Section 712 of the Orange County Charter requires the Orange County Board of County Commissioners to order audits, including performance audits, of the Orange County Comptroller. The most recent audit, which focused on the Performance Audit of Tax Deed Sales, including controls and risk assessments, was concluded by the audit firm Cherry Bekaert LLC on March 6, 2026. The final report is is attached for review and acceptance.
