PROCUREMENT:
This contract will provide closed transition power transfer with electrical and fuel storage improvements at the EWRF. Work includes, but is not limited to, the expansion or improvement to the equipment and structures associated with station switchgear and generator switchgear, replacement of proprietary controller and aging equipment, replacement of protective relays with new protective relays, addition of closed transition power transfer, replacement of existing switchgear battery systems, addition of remote Human Machine Interface, and the addition of an outdoor 15KV load bank dock.

Funding is available in account number 4420-038-1538-0029-6310.
APPROVALS:
The Utilities Engineering Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
A total of three bids were received in response to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) and evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness. Chinchor Electric, Inc. and Eau Galle Electric, Inc were deemed non-responsible due to failure to meet minimum project experience requirements as specified in the IFB.
