Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y25-197, Food Products for Family Services to the sole responsive and responsible bidder, Sysco Central Florida, Inc., in the estimated contract award amount $1,220,910.10 for a five-year term. ([Community and Family Services Department Youth and Family Services Division] Procurement Division)

PROCUREMENT:
This contract will provide for the delivery of food for the youth of Great Oaks Village including, but not limited to, meats, dairy items, food staples, and frozen food.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 0001-062-2452-4135.
APPROVALS:
The Youth and Family Services Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
One bid was received in response to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) and evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness.
To ensure an open and competitive solicitation process, the IFB was posted on Orange County's e-procurement platform, resulting in a total of 39 downloads. A query from staff to potential bidders that declined to compete on this project resulted in the following:
* Summit Food Services - Does not provide for the full scope of services.
* Heritage Service Group - Outside of their scope of services.
* Second Harvest Food - Does not provide for the full scope of services.
Sysco Central Florida, Inc. meets all specifications and requirements of the solicitation. Price reasonableness was established by comparison to contracted rates with Martin County for like services. Therefore, recommendation for award is made to Sysco Central Florida, Inc.
