PURPOSE: The Cooperative Extension Division and Environmental Protection Division are providing the Board with an update on the evaluation of potential managed agricultural uses on Green PLACE properties. The evaluation included technical, environmental, land use, and policy considerations related to activities such as managed cattle grazing, hay production, and apiary operations, as well as examples from comparable Florida conservation land programs. The evaluation also identified policy considerations regarding compatibility with the Green PLACE mission, Vision 2050, and Orange Code.
