PROJECT: Fiscal Year 2024 Assistance to Firefighters Grant, Award Number: EMW-2024-FG-05053
PURPOSE: The Department of Homeland Security, through the Federal Emergency Management Agency, awarded Fiscal Year 2024 Assistance to Firefighters Grant, Award number: EMW-2024-FG-05053 to the Orange County Fire Rescue Department (OCFRD) in the amount of $18,181.81 with $1,818.19 matching non-federal funds for a total amount of $20,000. This grant project focuses on training firefighters in Fire Investigations, funding both required coursework and certification exams for 20 individuals as Fire Investigators. The certification will better equip OCFRD to meet ISO requirements and improved ability to identify cause of origin on fires as well as completing After Action Reports.
