PROJECT: Rebuilding Together Greater Florida, Inc., Safe at Home Program
PURPOSE: On March 24, 2020, the Board adopted Ordinance 2020-09 establishing the Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) for the purpose of providing the financial resources and the leverage necessary to create and preserve affordable housing units in Orange County. The AHTF allows for the selection of projects through a competitive Request For Applications (RFA) process. Rebuilding Together Greater Florida, Inc. requested monetary assistance for Minor Housing Rehabilitation Services through its Safe at Home Program during Orange County’s FY 2024-2025 RFA process.
The Housing and Community Development Division recommends the Project for a total award of $460,000 and identified the AHTF as a funding source for the Project. The Project will be implemented countywide, and it will consist of minor housing rehabilitation repairs for a minimum of 15 owner-occupied single-family homes in Orange County for very low, low, or moderate-income people or households. The agreement outlines the project requirements, to include scope of project, projected budget, and reporting and income requirements. The project completion is no later than December 31, 2026.
