PROCUREMENT:
This project will address flooding problems along Forrestal Avenue within the Holden Estates Subdivision on the north side of Holden Avenue to the west of Orange Avenue. This stormwater retrofit includes drainage improvements that involve installation of curb inlets, extending and upsizing the storm sewer systems and replacing the pond outfall structures within the subdivision. This project is located in District 3.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1004-072-3010-6330.
APPROVALS:
The Roads and Drainage Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
This emergency stormwater retrofit addresses the chronic flooding of Forrestal Avenue in the Holden Estates Subdivision. The road, homes, property, yards, and vehicles are being affected with documented occurrences since 2000, making the project crucial to prevent additional flooding that can affect the safety of the citizens.
Four bids were received in response to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) and were evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility and price reasonableness.
