The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Use of Fireworks - Proposal for an Ordinance

PROJECT: N/A
PURPOSE: In response to ongoing concerns pertaining to the use and discharge of fireworks in Orange County, staff is proposing an ordinance to amend Chapter 28 of the Orange County Code by creating a new Article VI titled “Fireworks.” At the Work Session, staff will present goals for an ordinance that would update the Code to provide for more effective enforcement against the unauthorized use of fireworks. The Work Session will allow the Orange County Attorney’s Office to obtain the Board’s direction prior to bringing a proposed ordinance to the Board for a public hearing.
