PROCUREMENT:
This amendment will extend services for the period of April 5, 2025 through July 4, 2025 while a new procurement process is complete and adds funding, at the contracted rates, to support continuation of service during the extension period. The Procurement Division projects to issue the re-solicitation by mid-March 2025.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 0001-081-3824-3197.
APPROVALS:
The Corrections Department concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
On January 9, 2018 the Board authorized award of Contract Y17-192 to G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc., in the amount of $5,565,332.16 for a three-year term and authorized the Procurement Division to renew for two additional one-year terms. A novation agreement was executed on December 14, 2021, which changed the contractor from G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. to Universal Protection Service, LLC.
The re-solicitation process was delayed due to several necessary revisions to the medical response and training requirements for the Juvenile Assessment Center, that required guidance from the County Attorney.
