Confirmation of the Mayor's managerial appointment of Paulette V. Julien as Deputy Director (Deputy Chief), Corrections Department.

PURPOSE: I am pleased to announce the appointment of Paulette V. Julien as Deputy Chief in the Corrections Department. Ms. Julien will fill the vacancy created by the upcoming departure of Deputy Chief E. Keith Neely. This position supports the Chief of Corrections by managing various areas, to include divisions within Operational Services and/or Administrative Services.
Ms. Julien is a seasoned corrections professional with more than twenty-seven (27) years of experience. She brings extensive operational and administrative expertise, including three years of service as the Deputy Chief of Administrative Services for Orange County Corrections prior to her retirement in 2018. Her broad background, which includes roles as deputy chief, assistant warden of operations, and assistant warden of programs, make her an exceptionally well-qualified candidate for this position. She also offers significant operational leadership gained through her service as a captain, lieutenant, sergeant, and correctional officer. Ms. Julien's deep knowledge, operational insight, management acumen, leadership skills, and demonstrated ability to oversee both operational and administrative functions align strongly with the department's goals and long-term vision.
