Approval of Amendment No. 1, Contract Y21-198, Operation, Maintenance & Monitoring of the Landfill Gas, Leachate and Stormwater Management System at the Orange County Landfill, with Carlson Environmental Consultants, PC, in the amount of $850,000, for a revised estimated contract amount of $7,150,000. PROCUREMENT:
This amendment provides additional funding to meet projected needs and monthly inspections required at the landfill for the remainder of the contract term which ends on February 28, 2025. A re-solicitation is projected to be issued in mid-August.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 4110-038-1021-3197.
APPROVALS:
The Solid Waste Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
On July 13, 2021, the Board authorized award of Invitation for Bids Y21-198 to Carlson Environmental Consultants, PC in the estimated contract award of $6,300,000 for a three-year term. This contract includes all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the landfill gas collection systems, leachate collection and management systems, and stormwater collection systems on and around the landfills at the Orange County Solid Waste Management Facility.
