Approval and execution of Agreement Between Orange County, Florida and The School Board of Orange County, Florida Related to Meal Services at 13 Head Start sites for the period of October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027 with no cost to the County. (Head Start Division)

PURPOSE: The Head Start Division requests Board approval and execution of the attached Meal Services Agreement for FY 2026–27 between Orange County, Florida and The School Board of Orange County, Florida. The agreement outlines the provision of meals meeting two-thirds of the daily nutritional requirements for enrolled Head Start children, prepared and furnished by School Food Service.
Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) shall furnish meals daily from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027, except for holidays or days of Center closure. OCPS will prepare unitized meals for breakfast, lunch, and snack, maintain required meal pattern standards, provide meal counts in advance, and invoice the County within 30 days. The County will request special diet meals with appropriate notice and will process payments in accordance with Florida Prompt Payment statutes.
The Centers included in the attached agreement are: Aloma Elementary, Lake George Elementary, Dover Shores Elementary, Engelwood Elementary, Lovell Elementary, Conway Elementary, Riverside Elementary, Rosemont Elementary, Frangus Elementary, Ventura Elementary, Washington Shores Early Learning Center, Maxey Elementary, and West Oaks Elementary Head Start Centers.
The Florida Childcare Food Program funds in the estimated amount of $710,000 will be used to cover the cost of meals. There will be no cost incurred by the County for this program. The term ...
