Approval of Amendment No. 2, Contract Y23-1078, Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) Non-Profit Administrator, with Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando and Osceola County, Inc., in the amount of $111,039.76, for a revised contract amount of $613,519.76. PROCUREMENT:
This amendment extends the current period of service end date from February 19, 2025 to September 30, 2025 in order to completely launch the center and align the program outcomes with the overall Cities for Financial Empowerment program model. This amendment also adds funding to support services during this period.
FUNDING:
Funding is available through account number 5896-019-8664-8610. Funding for this project is a combination of Federal funds through allocation provided through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, as well as through Cities for Financial Empowerment funds and a grant received from Wells Fargo Bank.
APPROVALS:
The Community and Family Services Department concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
This contract provides free certified financial counseling using the model provided by the Cities for Financial Empowerment to Orange County residents and those employed in Orange County. This initiative is one of multiple ways in which Orange County is uplifting our economy and workforce from impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic.
