PROCUREMENT:
This purchase order procures the installation of two pad-mounted transformers, 5,530 linear feet of primary cable and medium voltage terminations in order to feed the North/South Building improvements project. The scope also includes the installation of two additional pad-mounted transformers at the request of the Convention Center for additional redundancy and the relocation of existing light poles so as to not conflict with construction.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 4430-035-0968-00-6210.
APPROVALS:
The Orange County Convention Center Capital Planning Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
In accordance with the Code of Ordinances, Part 1, Chapter 17, Article III, Section 17-286 - Application and Exclusions, agreements between the Board and utility service providers are excluded from competitive procurement requirements. Orlando Utilities Commission is the sole power utility provider for this location.
Pricing has been determined to be fair and reasonable based on a comprehensive analysis conducted by a third-party utilities consultant.
