Approval of Amendment No. 7, Contract Y19-1040A, Landscape Management of Active and Inactive Water Plants, with Helping Hand Lawn Care, Inc, in the amount of $71,000, for a revised estimated contract amount of $552,220.50. ([Utilities Department Water Division] Procurement Division)

PROCUREMENT:
This amendment will extend the contract for the period of June 1, 2025 through November 30, 2025 and adds funding, at the current contracted rates, to ensure continuity of services during the contract extension period, while a new procurement process is completed. The resolicitation is projected to be issued in early June.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 4420-038-1324-3810.
APPROVALS:
The Water Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
On September 18, 2019, the Board authorized award of Contract Y19-1040A to Helping Hand Lawn Care, Inc, in the amount of $384,600 for a three-year term with two additional one-year renewals. This contract provides detailed landscaping, mowing (slope/ditch mowing, tree maintenance, litter and grass clipping removal, edging, aquatic weed control, fertilization, pond maintenance, and brush control), and litter removal at the Eastern Regional Water Supply Facility.
The Procurement Division had issued an Invitation for Bids for these services; however, none of the bidders were deemed responsive and responsible, resulting in the cancellation of the solicitation.
