PROCUREMENT:
This amendment will provide additional funds to support evidence-based reading and mathematics programming to prevent and mitigate learning loss by strengthening foundational academic skills during the early grades. The investment will expand access to reading instruction for students in kindergarten through second grade and mathematics instruction for students in kindergarten through seventh grade, helping students achieve grade-level proficiency at critical academic milestones. Staff projects the additional funding will support an additional 4,326 hours of service provided to an additional 40 youth.
Under this contract, the agency is currently providing satisfactory services, and programmatic monitoring has demonstrated contract compliance. The additional funding will be sourced from Children's Services Rollover Funding and must be utilized by the conclusion of the contract year, ending December 31, 2026.

APPROVALS:
The Citizens' Commission for Children Advisory Board recommended the investment of Children's Services funding in community-based learning loss prevention services.
