Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y24-192-KC, Removal and Processing Waste Tires, to the low responsive and responsible bidder, Liberty Tire Recycling, LLC, for Lots A and B, in the estimated contract award amounts totaling $2,490,250 for a five-year term. PROCUREMENT:
This contract will provide removal and transport of waste tires for final disposition accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account numbers 4410-038-1042-3197 and 1002-072-2906-3710.
APPROVALS:
The Solid Waste Division and Business Development Division concur with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Two bids were received in response to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) and were evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price fairness. Atlantic Can, Inc. was deemed non-responsive for failing to conform to reference requirements. Based on the submitted documentation and references, Liberty Tire Recycling, LLC has the necessary workforce and experience to perform these services. Additionally, references were satisfactory and support the scope of work for this contract.
Liberty Tire Recycling, LLC met the minimum requirements in the IFB and has a satisfactory record of performance from the submitted references. Therefore, award is recommended to Liberty Tire Recycling, LLC for Lots A and B.
