PURPOSE: Electric vehicle charging stations that are available for use by the public are now required to obtain a weighing and measure device permit with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service. The Orange County Cooperative Extension facility located at 6021 Conway Rd. Orlando, FL 32812 has an existing electric vehicle charging station that meets the usage characteristics as described in Florida Administrative Code 5J-28 requiring a weighing and measure device permit. This is a one-year permit that costs $100 per charger with the option to apply for a two-year permit at $200 per charger.
