PROCUREMENT:
The project includes the modernization of six existing escalators. The typical lifecycle of escalator equipment is 25-30 years. These are 29-year-old escalators that have been experiencing continuing failures throughout the years and parts are no longer manufactured or sold for this brand of escalator. The obsolescence of critical components increases difficult maintenance challenges. The modernization of the escalators will improve safety, reduce risk, improve performance and reliability, and improve energy efficiency. This project is located in District 5.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1023-043-2063-3810.
