PROJECT:
Tymber Skan on the Lake

PURPOSE: Built in 1974, Tymber Skan on the Lake, a multi-family condominium complex, had 49 buildings with 321 condo units. For more than 20 years, Tymber Skan has been plagued by public safety concerns and dilapidated structures. Currently, after extensive demolitions, only eight buildings remain. Water and wastewater services are unavailable to one of the occupied buildings, Orange County Government owns 38% of the condo units, and widespread dumping persists. The County understands the plight of the existing residents in Tymber Skan and realizes intervention is required to address the perilous conditions. The County proposes a long-term solution to address the dire conditions in Tymber Skan by seeking to terminate the condominiums so the property can be sold, utilizing a third party to manage the sale of the property, and offering services to impacted residents.

The presentation will cover the following: history and existing conditions in Tymber Skan, legal review of options
to terminate the condominiums, services for impacted residents, communications plan, updates about the complex, and seek direction from the Board of County Commissioners about next steps.

This is for informational purposes only; no action is required.
