In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. PURPOSE: The School Board of Orange County, Florida has requested that the Orange County Government enter into a Training Provider Agreement to establish the requirements and processes for providing services to individuals approved to participate in the Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSSP) and enrolled at Orange Technical College for training classes. FSSP is a program under the Community Action Division of the Community and Family Services Department that assists low-income adults to gain greater self-sufficiency through upskilling and attainment of credentials. To accomplish this, FSSP has worked with Orange Technical College for nearly 20 years, providing tuition and fee payment to the college on behalf of its clients. The enclosed agreement codifies this long-standing relationship and allows FSSP to continue enrolling eligible clients in high-quality post-secondary instruction. The FSSP program pays tuition costs for mutual qualified clients. The tuition costs vary based on the program in which the client is enrolled.
The County Attorney’s Office has reviewed this agreement and has no further comments.
