PROJECT: N/A
PURPOSE:
Pursuant to the Resolution and Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement, the State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is providing funds to Orange County in Fiscal Year 2024/2025 to design complete streets improvements on Rock Springs Road from the North Publix Entrance to Lester Road. FDOT agrees to participate in the project cost up to $643,046 under this agreement. No funding from Orange County is needed under this agreement. FDOT is requesting Orange County’s approval of the resolution and LAP agreement.
The project is consistent with the Rock Springs Road Study-Corridor Study Report and includes the design of intersection improvements at the Publix entrance and at Lester Road, access management improvements, new and upgraded traffic signalization, signage and pavement markings, street lighting, ADA improvements, utility adjustments and permitting. The project length is approximately 2,835 feet.
The County Attorney’s Office, Risk Management Division, Public Works Engineering Division, and Transportation Planning Division have reviewed this Resolution and Agreement and find them acceptable.
