PROJECT:
Interconnection Agreement between Duke Energy Florida, Inc. and Orange County, Florida for the Orange County Fire Rescue Training Center CPAT Building

PURPOSE: Duke Energy Florida, Inc. requires execution of the Interconnection Agreement to initiate the process of evaluating the energy systems connection to the Duke Energy Florida, Inc. grid. Orange County Fire Rescue is requesting approval of this agreement in reference to the Fire Rescue Training Facility Solar Energy System project, which proposes an interconnection to the Duke Energy electric grid.  This agreement serves as a pre-application to initiate the evaluation of the recommended interconnection. The Fire Rescue Training Center Solar Energy System project requires the installation of photovoltaic panels capable of producing up to 170kw of power, which is expected to offset the facility’s annual power consumption. The County Attorney’s Office and Orange County Fire Rescue have reviewed the agreement and application and recommend approval.
