The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. PURPOSE:
Approve and execute the 2026 Organizational Meeting Minutes.
BACKGROUND:
Members of the 2026 VAB met on June 12, 2026, to approve and execute the Resolution adopting filing fees for the 2026 VAB tax cycle; approve Special Magistrate fees, and guaranteed minimum hours; appoint Legal Counsel; appoint Legal Counsel to serve as the VAB Designee; discontinue fax as an accepted method of communication; adopt the Requests for Reconsideration Procedures, Local Administrative Procedures and forms; and to appoint Special Magistrates for exemption/classification, tangible personal property valuation, and real property valuation hearings.
