PURPOSE:
Orange County Public Works (County) plans to widen Taft-Vineland Road, from west of Orange Blossom Trail to General Drive, from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane urban section roadway. The Florida Department of Transportation, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise (FTE), is concurrently proposing a new interchange at Taft-Vineland Road contiguous to the eastern limit of the County's project.
FTE has agreed to construct the County's proposed Taft Vineland Road project together with its proposed new interchange project at the County's cost and expense. The terms and conditions of the joint project are detailed in a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), a Locally Funded Agreement (LFA) and a Three Party Escrow Agreement (Escrow Agreement).
