Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y25-718-CC, West Building Overhead Catwalk Lighting Installation, to the low responsive and responsible bidder, Facility Solutions Group, Inc., in the total contract award amount of $1,446,291. PROCUREMENT:
Work under this contract includes upgrading the existing lighting system on the catwalks in Hall A, Hall B, Hall C, Hall D, Hall E, and Hall F in the West Concourse. This effort encompasses the removal of the current lighting fixtures and the installation of new, energy efficient LED fixtures. The project is located in District 6.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 4430-035-0966-58-6210.
APPROVALS:
The Convention Center and Business Development Division concur with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Four bids were received in response to the Invitation for Bids and evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness. Echo ED Corp Electrical Contractor was deemed non-responsive for failing to complete the required forms of the Contract Compliance Packet. Anderson Place Construction, LLC was deemed non-responsive based on the analysis provided by the Business Development Division which identified that the M/WBE participation goal was not achieved, and sufficient good faith effort documentation was not provided.
