Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y24-104-MV, Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Disposal, to the low responsive and responsible bidder, Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc., in the estimated contract award amount of $1,090,249 for a one-year term. Further request Board authorization for the Procurement Division to renew the contract for four additional one-year terms. ([Utilities Department Solid Waste Division] Procurement Division)

PROCUREMENT:
The contract will provide collection, management, and disposal/recycling of materials collected by the County's household hazardous waste management program to include six days per week operation of the County's two household hazardous waste (HHW) collection centers at the landfill and Porter Transfer Station, conducting up to four one-day off-site HHW collection events annually, and proper environmentally responsible recycling and disposal of collected HHW.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 4410-038-1012-3197.
APPROVALS:
The Solid Waste Division and Business Development Divisions concur with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Four bids were received in response to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) and were evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness. Clean Earth Environmental Solutions and MXI Environmental Services LLC were deemed non-responsive for failure to complete the fee schedule in its entirety required in the IFB.
