PROCUREMENT:
This amendment adds funds to the approved budget for indirect costs associated in providing homelessness outreach, prevention, and diversion to support unhoused and/or precariously housed Orange County residents. The provider currently assists on average 35 households monthly, the additional funding will support assisting approximately 840 households.

The Mental Health and Homelessness Division concurs with this request.
REMARKS:
This subaward was issued from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (the "Recovery Fund") allocation received by the County on May 18, 2021.
As the County's subrecipient, Samaritan Resource Center, Inc. expands homeless outreach to more underserved outer regions of Orange County. The Federal Subrecipient expands the area to which such services are typically provided while increasing its current service level, creating additional capacity to serve the homeless and housing insecure, and increase health and safety awareness.
