The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Biography:

Ms. Mims is an Orlando Native and grew up in West Orange County. She later went to Florida A&M University where she received her Bachelors of Science in Political Science * Cum Laude and her Masters of Applied Social Sciences in Public Administration * Cum Laude. During and after her Masters Degree, she owned and operated a clothing store which was very successful, and in 2014, she embarked on her journey as a lawyer at Western Michigan University Law School (Tampa Campus) where she graduated with Honors. Her aspirations are to open a solo practice and focus in the areas of Corporate Law and Contract Law. She is a mother of 2 beautiful children, and she shares a passion for community outreach and initiatives.
